Although Streams in the Valley Counseling is not in network with insurance plans, many clients are able to use their out of network benefits to lower the cost of sessions. You can easily check your benefits by completing the short Thrizer form on this page. If you have any difficulties, please contact us or our counselor, Jennifer Hicks.

Thrizer makes using your out of network benefits simple and transparent. It verifies your coverage, automatically submits claims (so you don’t have to deal with superbills), and may even allow you to pay only your copay—without waiting weeks for reimbursement.

Good Faith Estimate

As per Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, called the “No Surprises Act”, healthcare providers have to provide patients without insurance (or who are not using insurance) an estimate of the bill for medical services. If you would like an estimate of your self-pay services or out-of-network costs, you may request this from your clinician. Please note that this is an estimate of services and may be an under or over-estimate of the total costs. This estimate is to ensure that you are not receiving any surprise costs.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
